Department Profile
The Emergency
Management Office is a component of the County Emergency
Services Department along with 9-1-1 Public Safety
Communications and the Technology Coordinator.
La Crosse County is one of 13 Counties in the Wisconsin
Emergency Management West Central Region
Responsibilities include the management of nearly 50 Emergency
Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) plans for
facilities with chemical inventories, preparation of county-wide
emergency plans and the coordination of 18 municipal emergency
operations plans.
